BCCC PROJECT: CULTURE IN A BOX WITH PUERTO RICO

TASK 1: GETTING TO KNOW ME
Procedures:
Students are to send a soft copy of their self introduction via the following options:

(a) Microsoft Office Word
(b) Microsoft Office PowerPoint
(c) glogster.edu.com

Information to be included in the self introduction are like basic personal details, hobbies and interest. Focus more on telling about ethnicity and the culture practised. It would be much better if they can include pictures.

All the soft copies are to be sent via email, edmodo or comment column in ktdthbbccc.blogspot.com.

TASK 2: MYTHS AND BELIEFS

Find information or interesting stories related to the myths and beliefs of your ethnic. These information or stories should be originally transcripted by you (rephrase by using your own words). You can opt to present your myths and beliefs in any digital forms of your favourite. Make it as interesting as possible by adding the elements of graphics, musics, videos, gif and many more (powerpoint, glogster, movie maker). Submit your work via edmodo.

For those who don't have a computer or laptop, you can write them down, draw pictures, use collage techniques or any art skills that you prefer to make it presentable (comic perhaps). I will try to have them scanned and sent for you.

TASK 3: COLLECTING CULTURAL ITEMS

For task 2 if possible, should be done with zero cost because i do not want to burden the students. They can give cultural items which are not used anymore, hand-me-down cultural attire, printed or drawn pictures or replica of the original items. The items can be categorised into the followings:

(a) Attire
(b) Arts and crafts
(c) Music (CDs,musical instruments)
(d) Games and sports
(e) Delicacies (dry food only)

Each item should be labeled and comes with brief explanation (materials, history, usage).
