1. SCHOOL -TO-SCHOOL PROJECT
- design questionnaire by using the template that has been prepared for you. I think i have this template emailed to BCCC students of both classes. Then upload the questionnaire files into the BCCC forum exactly like how we have told you before.
- to respond to the questionnaires designed by the students of Thailand schools, you will have to browse through the forum and search for their school name which can be seen on the left column. for students of 1 tekun, the Suankularb teacher has emailed to me the questionnaire files for you to respond to. But there are some more questions from them that you need to have a check on. Please respond immediately and provide more details okay.
- you are also required to post as much as you can or update the forum by sharing some of your experiences, feelings and new knowledge that you have managed to gain while carrying out all the tasks required for the project. This requirement is actually to ensure your active participation in the BCCC program.
- based on the responses and discussions that have been done with the Thailand students, you will have to transform all the information that you have managed to collect into brochure and powerpoint slides.
- it would be better if you can post your final products in the forum by yourself.
- it has been decided and agreed unanimously that we will work on the theme of CULTURAL DIVERSITY (it has been narrowed down to the topic of MYTHS and BELIEFS) for the competition.
- your first task during the holidays is to find as many stories as you can that you think are related to the ethnic of your choice.
- you are also required to post in the BETTER COMMUNITY BETTER LIFE COMPETITION STUDENTS FORUM to tell your friends from other countries which theme you have chosen and tell them why we choose CULTURAL DIVERSITY. you can tell them about ONE MALAYSIA if you want...it would be the best reason for the choice that we've made.
- when you have collected all the stories, decide on how you are going to present them.. In other words you may present them in the form of artwork, poster, powerpoint presentation, report, photo collage, movie and etc.
- the products that you have produced based on the stories that you have collected will be exhibited in an exhibition specially held for this BCCC competition. We will discuss on how we should conduct the exhibition soon after we get back to school for our first semester next year.
- CLASS ENTRY: after choosing a theme, the whole class will work together to produce a classroom display ( but we have planned to have the exhibition held at the Premier Hall where we combine the two classed together to work on the exhibition). This exhibition will be photographed and shared on the Connecting Classroom Online Community Better Community, Better Life project space available from http://cc.britishcouncil.org/bcbl.
- STUDENT ENTRY: Individual students create a few pieces of work that demonstrate what they have learnt about their community. Students' work can be submitted in any one of four formats:
- POSTER: A3 size scanned or digitally photographed.
- DIGITAL PRESENTATION: PowerPoint, Photo story or any other digital format.
- SONG OR POEM: either in digital text format (MS Word, Adobe PDF or similar), MP3 or video format.
- NEWSPAPER OR MAGAZINE ARTICLE: digital text format(MS Word, Adobe PDF or similar) with or without photos.
- TEACHER ENTRY: Individual teachers will create a lesson plan for one of the lessons where the community and the theme are explored. The teacher will complete an electronic lesson plan template, available from http://cc.britishcouncil.org/bcbl/. Teacher will send their entries in to the British Council Connecting Classrooms East Asia team via email to cco@britishcouncil.org.
