SCHOOL-TO-SCHOOL PROJECT FOR 1 TEKUN & 2 TEKUN STUDENTS

I have just received a reply from Kritsada Tulkijjawong regarding the school-to-school project and below is his response:

Hi teachers,

"We are glad to inform you that we have successfully partnered you with Sirindhorn School (Surin), Kolej Tun Datu Tuanku Haji Bujang (Miri) and Doisaket Wittayakom (Chiang Mai). Your students will be working under “Travel Guides 14” topic which you have chosen earlier.

To help you get started, you may want to visit our
School to School Project Page where you will find basic instructions as well as our most recent updates. Please ensure that you have all your students registered to our students' web community before starting the project. Please do not hesitate to contact us shall you need any assistance.

Once again thank you for your interests in our project and we hope to see you online soon!"

This second email on the other hand is from the school that we are going to collaborate with:

Dear teachers,

I'm glad to have the result of matching schools to work on the "Travel Guides" together. My name is Prapakon Wongnang, teaching English at Doisaketwitayakom School in Chiang Mai, Thailand. I teach grade 12 students and most of them are preparing themselves for a university.
Next week there will be the mid-term test at my school, so I think after the exam, we can discuss about the project and then we can start working together.

I look forward to getting in touch with you.

Best regards,
Prapakon (Toi)

We have decided to have the 1 tekun and 2 tekun to work hand in hand for this project. We will probably start discussing on the planning and execution of the project after Progressive 3 exam. Thank you.

Share your love of sport and games by telling us how to play and teaching us about the rules, equipment and uniform you must use to play it!
Weather & Climate
Weather and Climate
What is the weather like in your part of your country? Do you have 4 seasons? Is it hot or cold or wet or windy? Do you get the same amount of rainfall as your partner countries' towns? Is the weather the same as it was 5 or 10 years ago? Whether you like it or not, the weather is important and you can teach and learn a lot about it and how it affects our lives and the lives of the things around us in this project!
Farming & Fair Trade
Inventing Tomorrow's World
What will it be like in 10 or 20 years' time? What will you be doing in the year 2029? What will we be driving, eating, watching or listening to? What will technology bring us and what will the Internet and Cyberspace look like? Let your imagination run wild as we step into the future!

Dos & Don'ts

Dos and Don'ts (11-16)
Research into the law, discussion of the customs or moral codes, within your own school, or in your home or country. Setting questions for your partner schools. Joint discussion of the findings and global comparisons within and across cultures.

Travel Guides
Travel Guides (11-16)
Help each other to discover new places, cultures and people by writing a travel guide to your partner school's town, or capital city. Then exchange what you have found out and relate it to tourism and 'image' and the real identity of places and cultures.
Eating is believing
Eating is believing (all ages; good for mixed ages)
This project works well with Connecting Classrooms East Asia student forum pages. It allows students to share views and question opinions about food in a global context over two or more exchanges, ending with a recipe and some cooking.
From our windows From our window (7-11 or mixed ages)
A British Council favourite. The view from the window is a gentle way to explore similarities and differences between schools. It is a good introductory activity. Different media can turn this into a very interesting project and you can take part at any time.
